Project basics.
Brief & Deliverables:
The wash, rinse, hang, dry, fold, send out for ironing and chase the dhobi routine was something just waiting to be simplified. LaundryMate saw an unstated need, built a business idea - and a brand promise - around it.
The team was entrusted with the task of seeing this idea to reality. As a result, we created a full-fledged product including:
User Facing App
User Facing Web App
Static Corporate Website
Associate App

LaundryMate’s user segment.
The online laundry service was targeted towards customers who have a "value-for-money" mindset or a "convenience is king" mindset.

Complexity in making intuitive flows for the different types of clothes, laundering methods for each clothing type and labelling each garment for collection or delivery processes.

/ Customisation
In an attempt to make the Laundry experience as efficient and accurate as possible, I designed a thorough module for placing an order.
With an extensive laundry list, option to add add-on services, a clear wizard to track the progress of placing an order and an acknowledgement screen to confirm placing of the order, this module explores and considers every single exception based on an extensive market study.

A separate app was designed for LaundryMate’s pickup and delivery personnel to find optimized routes on a slot. For subscription customers, the associates could collect clothes and specify add-ons on behalf of the customer. A QR code scanning module built into this app allowed for the mapping of a physical bag on to the digital order.

Custom icons:
Indian clothes are unique, and there are no online resources for icon packs of Indian clothes. So I created a custom icon pack for 100s of clothing types.
